Duration of ownership: 1 Days
Strengths: Allows user to try software without risk. Provides some security for computer activities.
Weaknesses: Killed my Firefox settings
Overall Evaluation: I love the idea of this software. I experiemented with some settings and downloaded files, etc. while it was active and it did not leave a trace after I rebooted. The problem is that after I rebooted, all of my Firefox settings, such as bookmarks on the toolbar, etc. were gone. It was as if I'd just installed Firefox on the reboot. Note, I am NOT talking about settings made while Returnil was active. I've had Firefox set up this way for a long, long time. I tried it twice and Returrnil wiped out my Firefox settings both times. I restored XP to get Firefox back to what it had been. I'd be interested to know if others have had that problem.
